VIP tiers: what climbing them costs

A tier system promises status and pays in per cent. Both can be worked out in advance if three numbers are known: points per stake, the value of a point, and the threshold of the next tier.
What a tier costs first
Suppose a tier starts at 10,000 EUR of turnover. At a 1% house edge that path costs an expected 100 EUR. If the tier then returns 0.5% cashback, you need another 20,000 EUR of turnover merely to earn the 100 EUR back — and that turnover itself costs 200 EUR. That is the loop a tier system runs on.
Why "30 days to platinum" is not a plan
A timeframe says nothing about cost; turnover does. Any guide promising a tier "in 30 days" is therefore only describing how fast to generate the required turnover. The hack list published here before has been removed: it was an invitation to stake faster.
What you can check about a programme
Points per stake and their value, the thresholds, the form of the return (withdrawable or bonus), how long points stay valid, and whether a tier expires after a break.
