RTP above 97%: where the figure that applies is written

Checked on 14 October 2026 • Reading time: 2 minutes

A payout rate of 97% is not a recommendation but a figure inside the game. You find it in the info panel of the game you opened — and only there does it apply to the version currently running.

RTP above 97%: where the figure that applies is written

The same game, several rates

Many studios ship a title in multiple configurations; documented examples differ by several percentage points, for instance 96.2%, 94.0% and 88.0%. A list that assigns one fixed number to a game therefore cannot know what runs at a particular operator. That is exactly why "top 10 slots with RTP above 97%" lists are useless as a selection aid.

What 97% says about one evening

Nothing. The rate is an average over millions of rounds; across a hundred spins the spread is a multiple of the expected value. Better to calculate the part you control: 200 spins at 0.20 EUR is 40 EUR staked, so at 97% the expected loss is 1.20 EUR — the actual result almost always lands elsewhere, in both directions.

Volatility decides how it feels

Two games with the same rate can play out completely differently: one pays small amounts often, the other large amounts rarely. That property is usually stated only roughly, and for a limited budget it matters more than the second decimal. How the same logic looks in crash games is in crash games.

What used to stand here

This page previously claimed "over 10,000 real spins tested per slot, exclusively". No such test took place, and it would not suffice for an RTP measurement anyway: telling 97% from 96% needs millions of rounds. The claim has been removed. For this brand name no operator could be found whose game selection one might check. On to tiers in VIP tiers, effects in four documented effects and tools in AI and gambling. On the term: return to player.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the payout rate that applies?
In the info panel of the game you opened, usually under "game rules" or "help". That figure applies to the running version — a list on the web cannot know it.

Is hunting for 97% slots worth it?
As a criterion only if you check the figure in the game itself. Across one evening volatility decides more than the rate.

Were slots tested here?
No. The 10,000 spins per slot claimed before did not happen, and would have been too few for a measurement.
