Rakeback, with the arithmetic: what 70% means and what it does not

Rakeback sounds like a discount but is a refund on the cost of play. What matters is what it is calculated on: the house edge, or the stake. That is the difference between a small number and an impossible one.
The arithmetic you can do beforehand
Suppose a game has a 1% house edge and a programme returns 70% of it. Then 0.3% of turnover stays with the operator: 10,000 EUR of turnover costs an expected 30 EUR instead of 100. If the same percentage were calculated on the STAKE instead, it would mean 7,000 EUR back on 10,000 EUR of turnover — a figure no operator pays. So when you read "70% rakeback", you already know which of the two readings has to be meant.
Rakeback is not profit, it is a cost reduction
Even with a refund the expected value stays negative, just smaller. So a rakeback programme changes nothing about whether to play — only how expensive the same play is. Anyone who treats the programme as a reason to stake more pays for the refund with the extra turnover it is calculated on. The mechanics are the same as in tier systems, see VIP tiers.
Three details without which a percentage is worthless
First the basis: house edge, stake, or net loss. Second the form: withdrawable balance, or bonus funds with their own wagering condition. Third the cadence: daily, weekly, monthly — and whether an unclaimed amount expires. If one of those is missing, the programme cannot be evaluated, and that is a finding about the operator, not about the reader.
What applies to this brand name
None of it is verifiable. As of 14 October 2026 no working operator could be found behind "Filth Casino": the domain previously named as its site now belongs to a different industry. The 70% stated here before, and the sentence about receiving 1,247 EUR of rakeback in one week, had no source and have been removed. How winnings are taxed is in tax on gambling winnings; the mathematics behind cash-out points is in crash games, and what happens psychologically is in four documented effects. On the term itself: rake.
Frequently asked questions
What is rakeback calculated on?
Either the house edge, the stake, or the net loss. Without that detail a percentage is meaningless — the three bases differ by orders of magnitude.
Does rakeback make a game profitable?
No. It lowers the expected loss but does not reverse it. At a 1% house edge with a 70% return, 0.3% of turnover remains a cost.
Is this operator’s rakeback evidenced?
No. There is no page where terms would be stated and no operator to ask.
